How long does my hair need to be to get Sugared?
At least 1/4 of an inch or longer! Think of a grain of rice. This typically is about 1.5 - 2 weeks post shaving - promise it’s worth it!
Is there anything I should do to prep for my first sugaring appointment?
Exfoliate the area 24 hours prior to getting serviced and then no lotions or oils on the skin the day of. We also recommend avoiding caffeine and taking ibuprofen 30 minutes before. You’ll be totally fine, don’t worry!
What should I do after getting sugared?
You might feel a little sensitive the remainder of the day. Plan on taking it easy and NO excess sweating like the gym, sauna, sex (sorry!) Also avoid hot tubs and chlorine. Wait a full 24-48 hours to allow your pores to close up and avoid a risk on any breakouts! This rule is very important, okay?
How do I take care of my skin in between appointments?
We advise clients to wait 24-48 hours after being serviced before starting a routine and then continue that routine until your next service. A proper routine should include a physical form of exfoliation as well as natural chemical form and a moisturizing agent. This will keep you bump free and sweetly smooth. Proper exfoliation is key to hair removal, no joke!
When should I come back for my next appointment?
Duration of time between appointments vary per service. Sugaring your underarms or an area of the face, you may choose to come back as early as 2-3 weeks depending on growth. For larger body parts including brazilian, 4-6 weeks is the sweet spot for optimal removal and results. Creating those bad habits!
How do I prep for a spray tan?
Exfoliate the skin 24 hours prior and have all sugaring/shaving done. Absolutely NO lotions or oils on the skin the day of tanning as this can create an unwanted barrier. Plan on being low key after while your tan processes and bring loose dark clothing + sandals to wear after - no bra! Who needs those anyway?
